Fjeldes Mek Verksted (FMV) was established in 1953 as a machining workshop. We are located in Jørpeland just outside Stavanger and have more than 50 years of experience in milling and turning. FMV is ISO 9001 certified and qualified in Achilles JQS.
Fjeldes Mek Verksted performs machining in the form of both production of new parts and repairs. We mill all materials in dimensions up to 3x8x20 m in all axes with a weight of up to 25 tons. Turning is performed up to Ø1600 mm in 15 m length and with a weight of up to 15 tons. We work efficiently but accurately and our lean organization enables us to adapt to the customer’s needs quickly.
We provide services to a wide range of customers. Production of products is carried out for subsea, drilling, well, process, maritime, power plants and other land-based industries. Repair machining is performed on critical products such as well control and drilling equipment.
Our extensive expertise enables us to solve most metal challenges. Our experienced CNC operators use GibbsCAM. This gives us the ability to perform complex machining with direct programming from 3D files.
A large selection of CNC controlled machines with different functions and good tools allow us to perform complex machining in most dimensions and materials.
